I grew up in a small town, where the hills rolled on and the corn stalks grew high. Oley Valley, Pennsylvania a small little dot on the map. A place I still call home while I am enrolled in Pennsylvania College of Art and Design where I am studying to get my Bachelor's in Fine Art along with four minors in Art History, Business, Humanities and Literature. My hometown, my humble abode are often the source of where my inspiration takes place. The world, and my environment continue to shape the way I create.
Painting has always been my outlet to express any emotion that has come across my character by using different colors, techniques and gradients. Some of my favorite creations and most surprising techniques have been realized through oil painting. Most of my works have been focused on the projection of realism but still will change throughout pieces into more free flowing, abstractions. As I continue to grow as a person and as an artist I have begun to experiment with new mediums, new techniques and ideas. Through experiences I have begun to fall in love with sculpture, ceramics and printmaking.
I want to capture something that is other worldly and tell that story in what I create. I want my work, my creations to inspire hope into individuals and put an inquisitive outlook into their minds, making them question what is around them. The dream is to be a creator; to paint, to teach, to shape, to dream, to live an artistic life, to help the people and the world around me.
